East Orange Rising Builders Strengthens the Community

The East Orange Rising Builders Program offers free construction skills training to East Orange residents for both union and open-shop positions! Thanks to a partnership between The Crossings’ development team and Mayor Ted Green, the Mayor’s Office of Employment and Training provides eligible East Orange residents (18+ with HS diploma or GED) with a comprehensive menu of construction skills training options —covering OSHA safety, scaffold/pneumatic tool certification, forklift certifications, Commercial Drivers Licenses, carpentry, HVAC, electricity, and more. East Orange Rising Builders recently added virtual learning opportunities as well. This program has so far trained over 50 East Orange residents in their choice of construction trade—will you be the next Rising Builder?
